Project completed by Year 1's from: Beech Hill Junior School, Halifax.
VOID ARTS were commissioned to work with a group of Year 1 students to great their own sculptures based on bugs, fish and birds. All the young people designed their very own sculpture which was made out of reeds and paper mache. To decorate the sculpture, the children tried their hand at printing, which formed the skin and scales of their animals. For such a young age group, these children learnt a lot of art techniques in a very short space of time, resulting in some large, colourful sculptures which are now exhibited on the school walls.
